Electronic PMI Sheets (garage users)
Once a PMI schedule has been set up using an associated Management log-in, events will be made available to garage technicians who will log in using their specific Garage log-in.
The Garage log-in is different to the Management log-in in that it will only offer access to any events that need completing via the garage or workshop.
These events can be completed and recorded a variety of different ways, but this section specifically relates to PMI inspections that are to be completed using a tablet or other touch-screen device.
The garage operative can access a recurring event one of three different ways:
1. Calendar – the event can be accessed by clicking on the event that appears against the relevant date. The Calendar can be set to monthly, weekly or daily view.

2. Events list– the event can also be selected from a list that can be amended using the filter drop-down boxes that appear near the top of the screen.

To access the Event in this case, tap the date that appears in the Due Date column.
3. Asset Search – by typing in the registration/ trailer number of the relevant asset, the system will display any associated events.

To access the Event in this case, tap the date that appears in the Next PMI column.
All of the above methods will lead to the same screen, enabling the garage operative to access the electronic PMI sheet. So long as the Event has had an electronic Job Sheet assigned to it, it can be accessed by clicking on the blue Start Job Sheet button.

This will open up the job-sheet on the tablet or touch-screen device.

The garage operative can then carry out the PMI check in exactly the same way as they would using a paper-based system.
However, an electronic PMI can offer the following benefits:
Photos – any inspection item that carries the blue image symbol can be supplemented with a photograph taken using the camera on the device.

Pre-populated fields – for instance, marking all check items as Serviceable to all means the operative only has to enter specific information relating items requiring intervention.

Customisable event sheets – although the system comes pre-loaded with default sheets for both vehicle and trailer PMI inspections, it is possible to edit these or build your own custom job sheets to cover other recurring events that can be recorded electronically e.g. interim checks, specialist equipment inspections.
